Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka was accorded a full guard of honour by the Papua New Guinea Defence Force upon arrival in Port Moresby yesterday for the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Summit.

He was received by PNG's Deputy Prime Minister John Rosso at the Jackson International Airport.

Rabuka then inspected the guard of honour that included 96 men and women of the PNG Defence Force.

As part of the welcome ceremony, the children of Motu Koitabu, who are the descendants of the landowners of Port Moresby performed a cultural dance.

Rabuka will join other regional leaders for the 3rd FIPIC Summit next week.

Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in PNG for the Summit as well.
