Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has commended the work of the Fijian diaspora for their contributions to the Fijian economy and also in Australia.
While speaking to the members of the Fijian community in Sydney last night, Rabuka reiterated the importance of moving Fiji to economic development and prosperity.
Rabuka also highlighted that Fiji has a huge deficit in trade with Australia, which they are looking at reducing.
He adds they anticipate reaching 1 million visitor arrivals into Fiji this year with the reopening after COVID, the improvement of the numbers of hotel rooms and the revival of our tourism industry.
The Prime Minister says when you observe the rules and laws of this land it gives the people of Australia a sense of comfort to travel to Fiji.
