PINK delivers show stopping speech at MTV Video Music Awards

PINK has delivered a showstopping speech about body image at MTV Video Music Awards.

The What About Us singer made the stirring statement while accepting her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award from Ellen DeGeneres.

Speaking on stage, Pink said her 6‑year‑old daughter Willow had recently told her, that she has been teased as the ugliest girl in the world.

Pink told the crowd at The Forum in Los Angeles that she told her 6-year-old that she is beautiful and not to change and that we need to help other people to change so that they can see more kinds of beauty.

Meantime, Katy Perry raised eyebrows at the MTV Video Music Awards for her bizarre costumes and hosting style.

Some of the awards that have been given out so far are:

Best Pop: Fifth Harmony (featuring Gucci Mane) “Down”

Best Choreography: Kanye West “Fade”

Song of the Summer: Lil Uzi Vert “XO Tour Llif3”

Best Dance: Zedd and Alessia Cara “Stay”

Best Collaboration: Zayn and Taylor Swift “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever”

Best Hip Hop: Kendrick Lamar “Humble”

Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award: Pink

Artist of the Year: Ed Sheeran

Best New Artist: Khalid
