Not giving up on your dreams rings true for Police Constable Abishek Mannu as he tried out to become a Police Officer twice, but he never gave up until he was called up to be part of Batch 67, who graduated from the Force yesterday.

Mannu is one of the 223 new Police Officers who passed out at the Police Force Ground at Nasese.

He says becoming a Police Officer was always his dream.

Mannu says after completing the Matua Programme, he jumped straight to apply for a job in the Force.

He adds the first two times he applied, he did not get through but kept pushing until he was called up to march in with batch 67.

An emotional Mannu said he got through the 16-week training through the support of his peers, who kept motivating each other and looking after each other as brothers and sisters.

He says he will be posted at the Police Forensic Unit in Nasese, where he will try to learn more things.

Mannu also says that he wants to bring a change to the image of the Force since a lot of people are saying that the Police Force is corrupt.

He is advising children to give their all in their educations and not get swayed easily by all the illegal activities out there.
