After a devastating fire caused extensive damages and led to losses last year, the Pacific Fishing Company Limited expects to make a dramatic comeback this year.
PAFCO last night won the Prime Ministers Exporter of the Year Award along with the Largw Exporter and Fisheries exporter of the Year at the Natadola resort.
PAFCO Chairman Peniasi Kunatuba said they expect to make a $3 million profit in 2009 despite the economic challenges that the company has had to endure.
Kunatuba added that with the closure of competing canneries in Samoa, PAFCO is also trying to increase its production levels from next year.
