Over $600,000 allocated by govt to Tavua Town

The government has so far allocated over $600,000 to the Tavua Town Council to undertake various projects in Tavua.

While speaking at the Vodafone Gold and Water Carnival 2015 in Tavua, Minister for Local Government Parveen Bala says there have been some changes in the town lately.

Bala says this includes the Garvey Park Pavilion upgrade, erecting and mounting of v‑drains, footpath resurfacing, building of new shelters for taxi, buses, mini buses, a relaxation shelter and the upgrading of a reservoir settlement.

Bala highlights that the Ministry of Lands is surveying this reservoir settlement.

The funds raised during the Vodafone Gold and Water Carnival will be used for the beautification of the Tavua Town.
