Minister for Education, Premila Kumar.

Good news for more than 170 students of Muaniweni College in Naitasiri as the Ministry of Education today handed over computers and other equipment which was donated by the Korean Government.

The equipment includes 30 computers, 40 chairs, 40 tables, 1 overhead projector and 1 science model.

Minister for Education, Premila Kumar says they chose the school based on its remoteness and the fact that some of the schools in rural areas need assistance.

She has also highlighted the importance of school maintenance.

She adds gone are the days when schools and its management had to struggle to collect money for maintenance and even pay for the teachers.

Kumar says a lot of changes have taken place and the government firmly believes in investing in the future which is our children.
