The Outrigger Beach Resort and Spa has temporarily suspended the intake of primary contacts of COVID-19 patients after two staff tested positive for the virus this week.
General Manager Darren Shaw says ongoing testing has resulted in identifying positive cases within the facility and as a precaution, these two individuals were quarantined last week.
Shaw says both workers are fully vaccinated and do not show any signs of illness.
He says in this time of caution, the resort is unwavering in its level of care for their staff who are all fully vaccinated as well as those who are in quarantine.
The resort had allocated 160 rooms to be used by the Health Ministry to keep people in quarantine.
Shaw adds they remain supportive of the government and Ministry of Health during Fiji’s time of need.
