Assistant Minister of iTaukei Affairs, Selai Adimaitoga

Assistant Minister of iTaukei Affairs, Selai Adimaitoga says the Opposition is taking advantage of the youth and spreading misinformation and hate speeches against the Government.

While responding to President Jioji Konrote's opening address in parliament, Adimaitoga said the messages that the opposition is spreading is causing division, which is simply like the ones that caused the 1987 and 2000 coups.

Adimaitoga says Fiji cannot afford to get caught in this cycle again and has called on the opposition to stop this.

She says the government has provided free education, free busfare and free text books which every Fijian children is entitled to.

Adimaitoga also claims that SODELPA MP, Niko Nawaikula has been spreading misleading information that the government is against the iTaukei.

She says this is far from the truth and people all around the world have heard of successful stories of iTaukei leaders.

Adimaitoga also highlighted the recent facebook post by National Federation Party MP, Lenora Qereqeretabua where she cursed some of the FijiFirst MPs and their children. She asked Qereqeretabua what made her do such a thing on social media.
