Swire Shipping Fijian Drua outside back Epeli Momo is taking every step at a time as he embarks on his new journey at the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific this season.
The 24-year-old made his first appearance for the Drua in last week’s warm-up match against the Brumbies in Canberra where he started on the wing.
Momo was thankful to be allowed to wear the Drua jersey last week and says after 16 weeks of gruesome training, he is grateful to be chosen to play last week.
The former Nadi rep says the game against Brumbies was a good learning curve for the team but they will meet again during the season and hope to come back stronger.
Momo was one of the new inclusions into the Drua squad this season after spending four years playing in the France Pro D2 competition for Montauban Rugby Club.
In an earlier interview with fijivillage News, the Yaloku, Yakete, Ba young man said he turned down a lot of offers in France to get a chance to play alongside his Fijian brothers in the Super Rugby Pacific campaign.

Momo also revealed that his long-term goal is to wear the Flying Fijians jersey in the future.
The Fijian Drua will have one more warm-up match against the Melbourne Rebels next Friday in Melbourne before the start of the Super Rugby Pacific season.
They will take on the Blues in Auckland on the 24th of this month in their first match of the season.
