Interim Vodafone Flying Fijians coach Gareth Baber says one of the biggest things from the match against Wales was to recognise the intensity of playing a tier one and top 10 team.
He says they matched them.
Baber says they have to put that performance against Georgia and ensure that movement towards the Rugby World Cup is happening in the right way.
The former Fiji Men’s 7s coach says he thinks it bodes well for the 2023 Rugby World Cup in the way the team is performing.
Fiji will meet Georgia at 2.30am Sunday.
In other Test matches, Scotland will face Japan at 1am Sunday, England will take on South Africa at 3.15am Sunday, the Wallabies face Wales at 5.30am Sunday, the All Blacks meet France at 8am Sunday and Ireland will play Argentina at 2.15am Monday.
