A one-month-old baby has passed away due to COVID-19.
Permanent Secretary for Health Dr James Fong says the child was admitted at the CWM Hospital 3 weeks after birth with severe COVID-19, and despite the best efforts of clinicians, he sadly died last Saturday.
There have been 59 new cases recorded since Tuesday.
35 new cases were recorded on Tuesday, 2 new cases on Wednesday, and 22 new cases in the last 24 hours ending at 8 am yesterday.
Of the 59 cases recorded, 15 cases were recorded in the Central Division; 42 cases were recorded in the Western Division and 2 cases were recorded in the Northern Division.
The national 7-day rolling average of cases as of 7th August is 29 daily cases.
