In a bid to address the issue of losing clinicians to migration, the Oceania Hospital Pte Ltd has launched the Management Cadet Program, aimed at nurturing future leadership to navigate the dynamic and challenging healthcare landscape.
This is the second initiative that they have introduced to address this challenge.
While speaking to fijivillage News, CEO Murgessan Pillay says so far, they have lost 50 clinicians to migration.
Pillay says this program is an investment for the future, designed to create a structured leadership and management development pathway for their people.
He says this is a key milestone initiative for Oceania Hospital, as they aim to identify and cultivate high-potential employees, equipping them with operational knowledge, healthcare systems expertise, and interpersonal skills necessary to excel in hospital management.
Pillay says there is a serious need for regulatory agencies to play a facilitative role rather than hanging on to an inward-looking and protection-centred mindset.
Pillay adds there is a serious need for regulatory agencies to adopt a facilitative role rather than clinging to an inward-looking and protection-centered mindset.
