Digicel Fiji CEO Farid Mohammed highlighted this as Sky Pacific is proud to be the broadcast partner for the Oceania 7s tournament as rugby fans are connected to the game andwill be able to watch it on Sky Pacific and their DTV app.
Mohammed says their viewers will be able to enjoy great rugby during this long weekend by witnessing emerging talents on a global stage and taking a significant step towards achieving their Olympic dream.
He urges Fijians to be part of the excitement, the drama, and the triumphs as Fiji takes its place at the forefront of the international rugby sevens season that kicks off with the Oceania event in Brisbane, Australia which also serves as a qualifier for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The Oceania 7s kicks off this Friday till Sunday and will be live on Sky Pacific and DTV App featuring 25 teams, 15 men’s and 10 women’s teams from 14 countries in the region.
A total of 66 matches (35 men’s and 31 women’s) will be broadcast live this weekend, coverage starts at 2pm on Friday with Samoa facing Nauru in the women’s draw.
Teams taking part are American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, as well as teams from Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania.
The women’s final will be at 9.30pm and the men’s final at 10pm this Sunday.
