The Labasa Women’s team scored a penalty in the final ten minutes to earn a vital point against tournament debutants Auckland United in the OFC Women’s Champions League in Honiara.
Both teams were tied nil-all at halftime.
Vanisha Kumar scored for Fiji while Bree Johnson scored for New Zealand.

Auckland United scored in the 63rd minute however Labasa were set up to catch them on the break to earn points.
Auckland United had a great opportunity to take the lead just before the half-time break when they were awarded an indirect free-kick in the box after Selai Tikoisuva picked up a back pass.
Labasa will face Veitogo in their second pool match tomorrow.
