“It is a good day to be alive.”
In her Irish accent Sister Angela Cavey continued to count her blessings as she turned 100 years old today at the Saint Joseph’s Cluny at Toganivalu Street off Waimanu Road.
Sister Cavey came to Fiji in 1967 at the age of 50.
She spent six years teaching in Fiji before going to other countries in the region and finally coming back to Fiji.
Cavey says she did not expect many people today let alone to have the President of Fiji Jioji Konrote visit her on her birthday and present her with flowers and gifts.
Sister Cavey adds that this has made her realise the power of the Lord and the happiness that she has attained from spreading the gospel.
Apart from her work in Fiji she has taught all over the world from parts of Africa, Ireland, France, England, Cook Islands, New Zealand, and Australia.
