Nukusolevu Farmers Co-Operatives Limited from Nasarawaqa Village in Lekutu, Bua received a tractor worth $77,080.

The handover was presented by the Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica.

The Deputy Prime Minister says Nukusolevu Co-operative has been working in partnership with Fiji Sugar Corporation and the Ministry of Agriculture on land utilisation for better returns.

Kamikamica says he is pleased to hand over the tractor as they believe it will be a great assistance in the next phase of development for the co-operative.

He says the Government had invested two third of the cost to the value of $51,386.66 and one-third was contributed by the cooperative.

He says one of the key priorities of the Ministry is to empower MSMEs, particularly resource owners to convert their land into productive use.

He adds the government is investing in the people and it is their turn to run the business with hard work and integrity.
