A mother of eight from Nuku Village on the remote island of Moala in Lau breathes a sign of relief after receiving the government's $200 Back-To-School assistance to help her buy the educational needs of her children.
Julia Tikoenavuli says this assistance from the government has really lifted the burden on her since she lives in the maritime islands.
She says the support means people can now afford school uniforms and supplies, ensuring their children can continue their education.
Tikoenavuli says four of her children are still in primary school, and the rest are in secondary school.
She adds the costs of education have been a constant worry, and the assistance has really brought smiles to their faces.
