According to a report by RugbyPass, the Northhampton Saints are looking to sign Fiji Airways Flying Fijians prop, Eroni Mawi.
The Premiership side confirmed the signing of international teammate Sam Matavesi and now appears to close the deal with the 23-year-old loose-head prop.
Mawi was part of the Flying Fijians squad that played in the Rugby World Cup in October, playing against Australia, Uruguay and Wales.
He has also played 14 times for the Flying Fijians.
The English side have been recruiting players in the middle of the season due to the retirement of club captain Dylan Hartley and Heinrich Brussow.
If Mawi becomes a Saints player he will have to fight for his place in the side with captain Alex Waller currently occupying the loose-head position in the squad, with back-up from both Francois van Wyk and Toby Trinder.
Mawi if selected will team up with teammate Api Ratuniyarawa.
