No tsunami threat as people feel earthquake in the Central Division

There is no threat of a tsunami after a 3.94 magnitude earthquake was recorded 3 kilometers South West of Viria Village in Naitasiri.

This has been confirmed by the Director of Mineral Resources, Raymond Mohammed who says the earthquake was at a depth of 6 kilometer.

We have received calls from people living in Samabula, Makoi, Nabua and several parts of Nausori that they felt the ground shake earlier this morning.
