There is no tsunami threat to the Fiji region after two earthquakes were felt this morning in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
According to the Seismology department, the first earthquake was felt at 7.33 this morning with a 2.9 magnitude and was recorded 43 kilometres South of Naduri in Vanua Levu. It had a depth of 8 kilometres.
The second earthquake was recorded 1 kilometre North North-East from Colo-i-Suva in Viti Levu at 8.05 this morning.
It was a 2.9 magnitude earthquake with a depth of 8km.
