“With some people failing to realize the reason behind dumping rubbish at the Namosau Race track, Ba, we have worked around the clock to remove all the rubbish from the race track and dump it at the Maururu Dump”.

These are the words of Special Administrator, Ba Town Council, Arun Prasad who said after the recent floods they dumped all the rubbish at the Namosau Race Track behind Govind Park, Ba for almost 3 weeks because the roads to their Mangruru dump had been damaged.

He said some people failed to realize that Ba had just suffered from a natural disaster.

However Prasad said together with council, Police and NFA officers continually worked on removing stones and debris from the Maururu road and made it accessible.

Prasad said from last week, they started shifting all rubbish to the dump as it was meant to be and now there is no rubbish in the Namosau Race Track.
