Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach Ben Gollings says they are not feeling any pressure as they bid to win a first Commonwealth gold medal.
Fiji has never won the Rugby Sevens Competition in six attempts at the Commonwealth Games, despite success at the Olympics where they won back-to-back gold medals in 2016 and 2020.
Gollings says Fiji has a good group of players who can do the work.
Meanwhile, play-maker Waisea Nacuqu says the current weather in Britain is good for them.
Yesterday, Britain recorded their highest temperature ever at 40.3 degrees celsius.
Fiji is pooled with Canada, Wales and Zambia.
Defending champions New Zealand is in Pool A with England, Samoa and Sri Lanka while South Africa, Scotland, Tonga and Malaysia are in Pool B.
Pool D has Australia, Kenya, Uganda and Jamaica.
The 7s competition will start next Friday.
