No charges yet in Korovisilou accident as investigations continue

Police are yet to lay any charges following that accident along the Queen's Highway at Korovisilou which claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy and his horse on Saturday.

Police say the boy was thrown off a horse that was hit by a bus.

The driver of the bus has been questioned and released.

Some passengers have also given statements to Police.

The boy was returning to Korovisilou Village when the incident happened while the bus which was carrying 15 passengers was returning from Suva.

Police say the horse died instantly from the impact of the collision while the boy was rushed to Korovisilou Health Centre where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigations are continuing.
