Hundreds of people living in Muaniweni and Gusuisavu Village in Naitasiri have not had bus service in their area from yesterday.

A concerned resident of Muaniweni, Prashila Mohini says most people living in the area didn't turn up to work today as they do not have other means of transportation.

Mohini says more than 70 people travel to work from the area and they travel to as far as Vunidawa, Nausori and Suva.

She says the road is in a deplorable condition and some parts of the road have been washed away due to the recent flooding.

When contacted by Fijivillage, Tacirua Transport Company Limited says they have stopped providing bus service due to poor road conditions.

The company says they have informed the Fiji Roads Authority and Land Transport Authority however no attempts have been made to fix the bad road conditions.

We are trying to speak to FRA and LTA.
