Police are yet to arrest anyone in regards to the murder of the Year 9 student in her home in Namara, Labasa on Wednesday night.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the Divisional Crime Officer and a team of investigators are working around the clock in the case.

The girl's landlord has given a statement to Police.

Police say people heard the girl scream for help on Wednesday night and upon checking on her, the landlord discovered her lying near the front door with visible stab wounds.

The girl was home alone as her mother was yet to return from work.

The 13-year-old girl will be cremated today.
