Holy Cross College athlete from Taveuni, Miliakere Nikolau has won gold in the senior girls javelin.

The Year 13 student says what motivated her to win a medal is that she wants to leave a great legacy at the school before moving on to tertiary studies next year.

She adds that her gold medal is dedicated to all the people in Taveuni, especially her family.
