Suva Netball Association has received a timely donation of $15,000 from NewWorld IGA Fiji.

The Suva Netball Association has received a timely donation of $15,000 from NewWorld IGA Fiji for their preparations for the Suva Netball Knockout competition this Saturday.

Suva Netball Association Secretary Dominiko Tabuaura says most of the funds from this sponsorship will go towards the hiring of the venue since they are paying around $10,000 in a season to the Fiji Sports Council.

Tabuaura says the response from the ground is that more new teams from Lami, Tamavua and Sawani will be joining the competition this year and they expect more teams to register before this Saturday.

He adds that some of the funds from the sponsorship will go towards the hiring of officials such as umpires, scorers and event organisers.

The NewWorld Suva Netball Association Knockout competition will be held this Saturday at the National Netball Centre in Suva while the NewWorld Suva Netball Association Club League games will be held next Friday and Saturday.
