Rishikul Primary School has become the largest Primary School in the country with the opening of its new school block.
This has been revealed to Fijivillage by the School Head Teacher Surendra Kumar.
Kumar says the number of students has dramatically increased from 1100 last year to 1625 students this year.
He says the new school block consists of 10 new classrooms, a library and a computer lab.
Kumar adds that they previously had three streams of year 1 to 8 but now with the new extension it allows them to have four streams throughout.
Minister for Education Dr Mahendra Reddy officiated at the opening.
