New resource centre opened in Nailaga in Ba today

The women of Nailaga in Ba will now have the opportunity to produce handicraft and other items to help earn income for their families with the opening of the new resource centre today.

Marama Na Tui Ba, Adi Laite Koroirua said they usually find that the women are neglected in their communities and the Centre is a great initiative for women to use their talents to earn income and alleviate poverty.

She added that the women of Ba have waited too long for a Centre and through government’s assistance the much awaited facility will provide employment and skills development opportunities for the women and the youth of Ba.

$30,000 was provided by the Ministry of Women to build the centre.
