The greater area of Samabula can now rest easy as a new public convenience is being built to cater for the nearby areas.
The Suva City Council demolished and rebuilding a new public convenience as it was unhygienic.
When asked on why this is being done as there was already a public convenience situated, Suva City Council CEO, Bijay Chand says this is being done as the old one was getting run down.
Chand added that the public convenience will be available to those who usually wait for the taxi at the taxi stand, FNU students and daily commuters in the area.
Meanwhile the public convenience is situated along the line of the Police Station in Samabula and the Post Office.
