Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Rosy Akbar says she has been hearing that a lot of businesses are opening new stores and that is a sign that people still have confidence in the economy.
While officiating at the opening of Kaif’s Fish Corner in Nadi today, Akbar says the new business will create new jobs and will also serve as an example to other people who will want to start a business.
Akbar says one business that was thriving during the pandemic was the food business.
She has encouraged people not to lose hope and we are on the right track to recovery.
Akbar further says we are slowly returning to normalcy.
