Fuel prices will change from today.
The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission says unleaded fuel will now cost $2.19 from $2.23 per litre.
Premix will now cost $2.02 from $2.07 per litre, Kerosene will now cost $1.58 from $1.57 while Diesel will be $1.87 per litre from $1.84.
FCCC CEO Joel Abraham says the increase is a result of Fiji being directly impacted by world market prices for both refined oils and LPG.
Abraham says that any changes to the world market prices are reflected in fuel prices in Fiji.
Abraham adds that the fuel prices are determined to increase for kerosene and diesel, affected by unfavourable movement in international oil prices.
The prices of motor spirit and premix reduced compared to the last review period due to firm supplies that exerted downward pressure.
He adds that FCCC will conduct the next Fuel price review on 1st March 2020.
