New classroom block opened at Pundit Shreedhar Maharaj College

A new double storey building has been opened at Pundit Shreedhar Maharaj College in Nausori. 

It includes a classroom and a science lab. 

While officiating at the opening, Education Minister Doctor Mahendra Reddy says the school committee of Pundit Shreedhar Maharaj College is very progressive and visionary.

He says they did not shy away from making critical investments that will make a difference to the quality of education provided to the students.

School committee president Vijendra Prakash thanked the Government for providing $50,000 towards the project.

He says the other $55,000 for the project was from funds collected by the school committee.  

The school currently has a roll of 362 students, which is an increase of about 100 students from last year.
