A new bus station is expected to be constructed by the Nasinu Town Council which will provide transportation to more than 87,000 people in the densely populated Nasinu area.
Special Administrator Mosese Kama saID the bus station will rectify problems faced by people who live far from the main road.
The project is expected to commence at the end of the year and will be located the current Valelevu ground.
Meanwhile ratepayers have been urged to pay up their arrears as the council depends on the money collected to fund major projects.
