Filimoni Nalohevu who graduated from the University of the South Pacific today with a Bachelor of Commerce in Tourism and Hospitality Management says determination leads to a successful life that requires perseverance and patience.

He says his family has been the biggest support system in his education journey and without their motivation, he may have stepped back because of the challenges.

He says walking from his seat to the stage may look easy but many sacrifices have made him stronger.

Naholevu says tourism is huge in Nadroga, and he will be looking forward to coming up with plans that will allow his community to prosper and achieve its goals.

He says students who feel like stepping back should remember the struggles and hard work of their parents.

A total of 399 students graduated today from batch one while more students have graduated this afternoon and another graduation ceremony will be held tomorrow.
