The revival of the Sugar Industry with the implementation of new projects will help create jobs - this is according to the Executive Chairman of the Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) Abdul Khan.
Khan said the co-generation project at the construction stage will help to generate jobs on average for 200 to 250 people.
Khan added that for the Ethanol Project, on average around 100 people will find employment.
According to Khan, a total of $US8.5 million will be drawn down for sugar mill upgrading projects.
Meanwhile, at the end of this month, a team of experts from India will be in the country to review upgrade works carried out by FSC and implement what is needed to meet objectives regarding the revival of the industry.
