A new winner will be crowned in this year's Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League competition after the U19 side of Ra High Roosters defeated defending champions Naitasiri Warriors 24-20 in the semi final held at Garvey Park in Tavua today.
A last-minute try from the Roosters secured their spot in the final, where they will face the Ba Pro Dragons, who edged RKS Eels 14-10 in the second semi final.
In the U17 competition, the Sigatoka Valley Cowboys stunned fans, blazing their way to the top despite entering as the fourth seed from the Western Zone of the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League.
The Cowboys will meet the Ba Pro Dragons in the final after narrowly defeating the Marist Storms 12-10, while the Dragons booked their spot with a 20-16 victory over the Nasinu Panthers.
In the U15 grade, the MGM Dragons outclassed Sigatoka Methodist 16-6, while the Marist Storms edged Lautoka Central Storms 16-14 in a thrilling encounter.
The FSSRL finals will be held at Prince Charles Park in Nadi on the 3rd of next month.
