A new Resident Magistrate from Sri Lanka has been appointed by the Judiciary.
Magistrate Liyanage Kashyapa Wickramasekara took his oath before His Excellency, the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau and other senior officials of the Judiciary.
Prior to his appointment, Wickramasekara held the position of State Counsel with the Attorney General's Department in Sri Lanka.
He also holds Bachelors of Law Degree from the University of Colombo.
