New Resident Magistrate Joseph Daurewa officially sworn in

Fiji's judiciary has a new Resident Magistrate as Resident Magistrate Joseph Daurewa was officially sworn in by President Jioji Konrote.

Magistrate Daurewa holds a Post Graduate Certificate in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the University of South Pacific.

He also graduated with a Bachelor of Law from the University of the South Pacific in 2006.

He has worked as a State Prosecutor at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions from 2007 to 2012.

Acting Chief Justice Kamal Kumar, Chief Registrar Yohan Liyanage, and Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili were also present at the swearing-in ceremony.
