New Na Kalevu to be appointed after mourning period

The new paramount chief of Nadroga’s position will be discussed after the 100 nights of the late Na Kalevu Ratu Sakiusa Makutu.

Chiefly herald Ratu Tevita Volavola confirmed the 100 nights will be observed in March following the death of the late Na Kalevu in November last year.

He said after the 100 nights, the Tokatoka Nakuruvakarua will meet and appoint the next Na Kalevu.

Volavola said men and women of the Valelevu clan will also complete the mourning period in March this year.
