Good news for people living along the Lami-Suva corridor as they no longer have to go to Suva City to access LTA services after the opening of the new LTA Express Office at RB Harbour Point in Lami today.
While officiating at the opening of the new LTA office, Minister for Transport, Faiyaz Koya says this office is a prime location for the business community in Lami and nearby residents.
He says between May 2019 and May this year, the LTA processed over 900,000 transactions at eight different locations in the Central Division alone.
Koya says the LTA Lami office processes over 9,000 transactions per month.
He says some of the services that will be provided in the new office includes vehicle registration, driving license and permit application, driving license renewal and fine payments.
Meanwhile, LTA’s Chief Executive Officer, Samuel Simpson says this decentralization also means there will be less congestion in other branches.
He says they will continue to observe the 2-meter physical distancing at their branches. He also confirms that over 60,000 customers who have already registered for e-services.
