A new International Civil Aviation Organisation liaison office has been opened in Nadi as a vital hub for communication, technical support, and capacity-building, tailored to meet the specific needs of the Pacific Small Island Development States.
While speaking at the launch, Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Viliame Gavoka says the establishment of the ICAO Pacific Liaison Office is a testament to the shared resolve to improve aviation safety, security, and sustainability.
Gavoka says with a dedicated ICAO Liaison Officer based in Fiji, they are poised to facilitate closer cooperation and more effective responses to the unique challenges our region faces.
The Acting Prime Minister says the Coalition Government has been a steadfast advocate for aviation excellence, and this is evident in the hosting of this office in Fiji.
