The Fijian Elections Office hopes to enhance its electoral services to the Fijian people with the opening of its new office branch in Nausori.
Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem says the Eastern Division office will cover over 411 polling venues and will look after and coordinate works in 8 districts which include the Lau group, the Lomaiviti group, Rotuma, Kadavu, Nausori, Korovou, Rakiraki and Tavua.
He adds that the opening of the new office will help them ahead of time to prepare for the 2018 General Elections.
Saneem is calling on Fijians living around the Nausori area to take advantage of these services provided to them by the Fijian Elections Office.
The Fijian Elections Office says the total number of voters registered in the National Register of Voters is 616,519 voters.
