The official opening of the new ANZ Stadium will be held this evening where Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will be the chief guest.
The opening ceremony will be accorded by a full traditional I-Taukei ceremony.
Fiji Sports Council Chairman, Peter Mazey said the new ANZ Stadium will allow locals to feel the international atmosphere compared to overseas stadiums.
Mazey confirmed that they will propose to the IRB team to allow Fiji to host a tournament in the IRB 7s series.
A team from the International Rugby Board will be in Fiji later this year to inspect the new ANZ stadium.
The opening program will start at 5 this afternoon.
