Netflix has taken to social media to “speak up” following nationwide protests in the US over the death of George Floyd citing “a duty to our Black members, employees, creators, and talent.”
The streaming giant tweeted today “To be silent is to be complicit. Black lives matter,”.

We have a platform, and we have a duty to our Black members, employees, creators and talent to speak up.
Floyd died earlier this week after a Minneapolis police officer was seen in a video kneeling on the man’s neck during an arrest.
His death has sparked outrage and protests across the U.S., many of which have become violent and resulted in the arrest of hundreds of demonstrators.
