Netball Fiji, with the support of the Fiji National Sports Commission, will host a Quad Training Series from the 27th to the 30th of this month at the FMF Gymnasium, Suva.

The Quad Training Series will have Fiji Pearls squad members in the Fiji Open Team and the Fiji Mixed Team, plus the Pearls training partner.

The other teams are the Fiji Men's Team and the USC Thunder from the Queensland Sapphire Series, a newly named partner of the Sunshine Coast Lightening.

Former Fiji Pearls player Dr Simone Nalatu will be travelling with the USC Thunder as their Assistant coach to the Quad Series.

The participating teams will play in a round-robin format from Monday to Wednesday and compete for final placings on Thursday.

The Quad Series is part of the Fiji Pearls preparation campaign ahead of the Netball World Cup 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa.

Netball Fiji CEO Vivian Koster says this training match will be crucial for the Fiji Pearls ahead of the World Cup.

She says match play is an important component of World Cup preparations, and as always, the Fiji Men’s Team has been part of that journey.

Koster says with the USC Thunder in the upcoming Series, they will have the opportunity to test out a different style of play, which can only enhance their game.
