Joe Biden has says Benjamin Netanyahu is not doing enough to secure a hostage deal and ceasefire with Hamas, amid reports suggesting a new proposal would be sent to the Israeli prime minister as final.
The US president and Kamala Harris, his vice-president, met negotiators in the Situation Room to hammer out a proposal, as protests engulfed Israel on Monday over the weekend deaths of six hostages in Gaza.
Asked whether Mr Netanyahu was doing enough, Mr Biden replied no.
He says that the US would not give up, and would push as hard as they can for a deal.
He highlighted they can not keep negotiating this and the process has to be called at some point.
Further more he adds US, Qatar and Egypt have for months tried to secure a deal that includes a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of the remaining hostages held by Hamas.
