Former Wallabies winger with Fijian heritage Mark Nawaqanitawase is travelling to Fiji with the Australian 7s squad hoping to make it to the Olympics next month.

Nawaqanitawase was not included in Joe Schmidt's Wallabies training squad after the Waratahs season ended with a loss to the Reds last month.
Australia 7s coach, John Manenti says Nawaqanitawase has been with them before and coming to Fiji and putting his best foot forward.
Former Wallabies captain Michael Hooper is also putting his hand up for selection while Force utility Max Burey is also travelling to Fiji as Manenti continues to sweat on playmaker Maurice Longbottom's return from injury.
Nawaqanitawase played 7s for Australia at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The Fiji 7s side has been boosted with the inclusion of Swire Shipping Fijian Drua duo Iosefo Masi and Selestino Ravutaumada alongside France-based Josaia Raisuqe who will join the team this week.
The Fijian 7s management is aiming to have a balanced team with experienced players on the world scene.
The team will be later trimmed down to 13 players two-weeks from the Olympics.
