Navua soccer suffers major blow ahead of semis clash

The Navua soccer team has suffered a major setback ahead of the semi-finals of the Courts IDC.

Import Stefan Clemens who was brought to strengthen Navua's midfield, returned to the United States on Tuesday, due to work commitments.

With the exclusion of Salesh Kumar due to his ineligibility and now Clemens, Navua has no choice but to depend on local players to carry out the job against a star studded Lautoka team this Sunday.

Navua=s coaching staff has advised that Solomon's lad, Elliot Ragomo may play in the midfield for Navua at the TFL stadium.

Navua who are the defending champions will not have an easy task against Lautoka in the semi-finals.

One man down the blues showed class on Monday when the team managed to hold Ba to a one nil win.

The first semifinal of the Courts IDC will kick off at 9am this Sunday between Lautoka and Navua and the second semifinal will start at 10.30am where Rewa will take on Labasa.

The Premier Final will be played at 1pm between Dreketi and Tailevu Naitasiri while the super premier final will kick off at 3pm.
